ir. PhD. Research in Food and Built Environment. Architect, Design Researcher, Educator and Chef Cook.
Researching through cooking and catering design, I explore the impact of food preparation, consumption and system on architecture, urban design and built environments. After more than a decade of teaching and researching at the Catholic University of Leuven (KUL, Belgium), Chalmers University of Technology (Sweden) & Assumption University (Thailand), I continue to explore my research focus on food, eating and architecture with my company Eatscape.nl. Knowledge production through community engagements, catering service, research and writing practices.

At CitySync, we're dedicated to fostering knowledge transfer and open innovation. We believe that true resilience in the built environment is achieved through collective intelligence and the output of individual actions based on the diversity of knowledgeable interactions. This is why we're committed to bridging the gap between academia and practice. Our projects aren't just solutions; they're a testament to the power of informed decisions based on a rich tapestry of knowledge.
Moreover, we actively engage in creative events designed to disseminate knowledge and ignite innovation. These events serve as dynamic platforms where ideas converge, sparking collaborations that go beyond boundaries. It's not just about building; it's about creating an ecosystem where creativity flourishes and ideas transform into impactful solutions.
Join us on this journey as we redefine urban living through a commitment to knowledge, innovation, and the seamless integration of creativity and tradition.
